Please find below the link for the report from the recent Uptake Workshop hosted by the Australian aid programme AusAid and the UK Collaborative on Development Sciences (UKCDS) in London at the end of 2010. The workshop involved 80 international participants and provided an opportunity for interesting discussion on research communication and uptake and the role of knowledge intermediaries.
You can access the report at the following link: http://www.dfid.gov.uk/R4D/PDF/Outputs/Communication/AusAID-DFID-UKCDS-workshop-report-FINAL.pdf

The blog explores three interrelated uptake issues in the context of HIV/Aids research:
- Understanding of the nature of research impact;
- Exploring how the positionality of researchers and other stakeholders influence their approach and;
- The importance of collaborations between researchers and communication professionals.
